Artist's Comments

Been watching Bob Ross's painting videos. This is done on Painter 7 though. Not really good. This is my 3rd or 4th try. Still need more practice. The original is 3000x2400.

This looks very lovely! You've made very nice use of Painter's ability to make things look like they were done with natural mediums - I thought it was an actual painting at first! The colours are very vibrant, and love the brushes you used for the trees!

Practice?! What practice?! This is very pretty!

I had a lot of trouble trying to imitate oil painting with Painter. I guess I really can't rely on the default values that Painter has assigned to its' brushes. This took me several months to finish because I became too frustrated to continue. I used a modified brush at the very end and it has eased away some of the troubles I was having in the beginning. ^_^

Well, all the effort you put into it really paid off. It really looks fantastic!

Trust me, painter 7 is not a easy program... and trust me when I say that this is WONDERFUL! I love the colours that you used! You are way too good! ^_^

Lovely, I like the yellow trees. And the water washing up on the shore looks very nice, it's always hard to get realistic looking water.

I like the colours. :)

looks pretty good, though may i suggest when doing the sky, keep your cloud highlight color about the same as your light source, i think that gold color is just a bit too strong, otherwise great use of color and blending. i have to give you much props for your landscape work, was very cool to see someone use bob's style for reference, it's hard to make that work digitally, i know! :)
