This doesn't quite look like her, but then, the reference picture I used didn't either. I really like how soft this one turned out. The most complicated part of this painting is the knitting of the hat and the texture of the sweater. I'm becoming more interested in simulating texture. It's such a fun process, especially when you start discovering all the different ways you can go about creating them. Hair is not as complicated as it look. It took me probably 15-30 minutes to work on all the twists and knots looking the way they do there. I'm loving the way I work on hair now. It used to be such a hated part of any painting. ^_^ I guess with mucho practice, any dislike can become a favorite as it becomes easier to produce.

the highlights done on her braids dont match her bangs; the braids look very realistic where as the hair in front looks kinda flat.
its nice how you made the face and hat sharp and the sweater kinda out of focus.

My only problem is that the hat is too textured and sharp compared to the softness of her face and sweater, but that's a very minor detail.
